Hi Scott! Thank you very much for your high compliment! A friend of mine (Mitchell Bring) once said, "Print is high resolution and low density. The web is low resolution and high density." My website has an enormous amount of useful and inspiring information on it. This new video is a great introduction for viewers who are new to my work - http://www.johnpaulcaponigro.com/about/press-room/open-studio-new-work-2015/

Another Great Show! I find John Paul Caponigro's work very challenging and inspiring all at the same time. In some ways they remind me at times of the work of Jerry Uelsmann. Sometime ago B & H photo's event space had a program where John Paul interviewed his father. I tried to find a link to it but off hand I couldn't. John Paul has spoken at the B & H event space other times alway educational.

Scott are you at all familiar with the bird photography of Eliot Porter? Although primarily a fine art landscape photographer he did publish a couple of books of bird photographs. If I recall he managed to do it with a view camera and electronic flash.

Next question. Have you ever attended, or know of, the Othello Sandhill Crane Festival here in Washington State? (https://www.othellosandhillcranefestival.org) Or the Grays Harbor Shore bird festival? (http://www.shorebirdfestival.com/schedule). I wasn't aware that the one of the sandhill crane migration flyways passed through Washington State.

Keep up the great show's.

Hi Rich yes I have heard of Eliot's bird photography. Be careful you'll spoil my next pick! I haven't been to any festivals in Washington because I am always traveling when they are here :)
